Authored in March 2002, this paper is the product of academic work Venu Rajamony undertook after his stint at the Asia Foundation Visiting Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. The views expressed here are the views of the author and should not be construed as representing in any manner the views of the Government of India. The paper seeks to explore some aspects of the India – China – U.S. triangle and identify the broad direction in which relations appear to be moving.

INDIA MATTERS
Publication of the Consulate General of India, Dubai

Launched under the editorial guidance of the Consul General of India Venu Rajamony, India Matters is a monthly magazine that reports
on the latest developments in India, as well as events relating to the Indian community in the UAE. It endeavours to promote and strengthen the India-UAE economic partnership by providing news, views and reviews that would assist the business community in the UAE. The publication is a part of the wider outreach programme of the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai.
The magazine was launched by former Indian President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at a glittering function in Dubai on the 29th of April, 2009. The function was attended by His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah; High Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture; H.E. Humaid Mohamed Al Qutami, UAE Health Minister; a number of Indian and Arab dignitaries, prominent businessmen and the media.
